Golden Moore

Golden Eulala (DePee) Moore Cook, of Golden City, MO, departed this life on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at the age of 97.

She was born on April 21, 1922 in Cedar County, MO to Raymond and Eula Pearl (Hayward) DePee.

Golden was united in marriage to William Moore on November 29, 1936, and he preceded her in death. 

She married Joe Cook on February 5, 1985, and he preceded her in death. 

Golden was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence DePee and Clarence DePee; one daughter, Anna Faye McGuire; and one grandson, Steven Patterson.








Survivors include three children, Saundra Norman of Springfield, MO, Cecil Moore and wife Jean of Golden City, MO, and Vickie Keatts and husband Max of Greenfield, MO; eleven grandchildren, Gwen Gilbert, Greg McGuire, Zach McGuire, Becky McGuire, Trudy Buchanan, Angela Demshar, Stephanie Patterson, Chad Moore, Travis Moore, Scott Keatts, and Jana Cooper; twenty-five great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Golden worked at various businesses in the surrounding area. She retired in 1985. Golden was woman of God. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Golden City since 1948. She loved reading her Bible. Golden enjoyed cooking, embroidery, and playing cards with her friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at the First Christian Church of Golden City. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Golden City.
