Carl Bryan

Carl Wayne Bryan, age 84, Carl Junction, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Granby House after an illness.

Carl was born April 25, 1935 in Welch, Oklahoma and had lived in the Joplin area most of his life.

Carl worked for Tri-State Motor Transit as a driver, earning the prestigious 'Diamond Ring' award for his several million mile driving record. In 1986, he and his wife, Bea, started C&B Trucking, hauling aircraft material in their Peterbilt truck all over the United States for the next 29 years.

Carl was a member Blue Lodge #345, AF & AM; York Rite Bodies, Valley of Joplin; Joplin Shrine Club and Oriental Band; and the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Temple, Springfield.

He married Beatrice Hansford in November of 1985. She survives at the home.










Additional survivors include three daughters; three step children; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one step great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by three sons; four sisters; and one brother.

Services are planned for Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. The family will receive friends following the services at the chapel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
