Curt Jordan

Mr. Curtis Todd “Curt” Jordan, 57, of Anderson, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday evening, December 4, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, after a sudden illness.

Curt entered this life on May 7, 1962, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, born to the union of Robert and Marguerite (Jenkins) Jordan. He was raised in Nebraska City and was 1980 graduate of Nebraska City High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy on March 22, 1981, serving his country faithfully until his honorable discharge on March 22, 1985.

 He returned to Nebraska and for thirty-three years was employed by the Nebraska State Department of Corrections in the administrative division. He retired in 2017 and moved to Anderson, Missouri. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family, loved floating Indian Creek and fishing with his brothers and watching Husker and Chiefs football games while constantly talking on the phone to his son and sister-in-law, in addition he thoroughly enjoyed teasing his mother-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jordan; and a brother and sister in-law, Tony and Trudy Jordan.








Curt is survived by his wife, Wendy Jordan of the home; six children, Curtis Scott Jordan of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Peter Jordan and wife, Amanda, of Hope Mills, North Carolina, Summer Clark and fiancé, Erik Blase, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, Becca Clark and fiancé, David Caruso, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, Angel Rodriguez and husband, Alan, of Alma, Michigan and Amber Zimmerman and husband, Timothy, of Crescent, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Isabella, Myles, Natalie, Michael, Sarah, Liliana, Mia, McKinley and Noralynn; his mother, Marge Jordan of Nebraska City, Nebraska; a sister, Margie Hoss and husband, Todd, of Omaha, Nebraska; five brothers, Rick Jordan and wife, Rita, of Anderson, Jerry Jordan and wife, Chris, of Kissimmee, Florida, Craig Jordan wife, Parris, of West Plains, Missouri, Steve Jordan wife, Becky, of Omaha and Larry Jordan of Anderson; his father and mother in-law, Dennis and Rebecca Walker; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 9, 2019, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Marilyn O’Brien officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson. 

Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Rick, Jerry, Craig, Steve and Larry Jordan and David Cunningham with Margie Hoss, Dennis Walker, Jeff Walker and Mike Walker serving as honorary pallbearers.
