Elfriede Blevins, Reeds Spring, MO, daughter of Wilhelm and Antonie (Mitz) Kolbe, was born June 20, 1936 in Wackernheim, Germany and departed this life on January 9, 2020 at the age of 83.
Elfriede came to the United States fifty years ago settling first in Galena and soon after in Reeds Spring, MO where she worked for the Hagel Garment Factory until her retirement.
Elfriede was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Blevins; her parents and one brother and six sisters.
Survivors include: son, Edwards Kolbe and wife, Kerstin of Germany; six daughters, Sylvia Hollinger of Germany, Rosemarie Hillebrand and husband, Helmut of Germany, Patricia Berry and husband, Terry of Aurora, MO, Beatrice Foster and husband, Monte of Ozark, MO, Marlen Creason of Florida and Darlene Easum and husband, Tom of Florida; step-son, Danny (BJ) Blevins and wife, Junie of Reeds Spring; two step-daughters, Anita Maples and husband, Terry of Strafford, MO and Regina Sorenson and husband, Mel of Webb City, MO; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchild and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation for Elfriede will be Saturday, January 18, 2020 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO with the service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Yocum Pond Cemetery Reeds Spring, MO. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Tri Lake Animal Shelter.
