Linda Slaughter

Linda Carol Slaughter, 71, Goodman, MO passed away March 8, 2020 after several months of failing health. Linda was born June 26, 1948 in Parsons, KS to Nathan and Ivia (Monroe) Collins. She had lived in the southwest MO area for the last 40 years and had retired from the customer service department of Scholastic. 

Linda was a member of Swars Prairie Baptist Church. She loved being with her family, including her church family, but especially loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Ronnie and Linda were married December 23, 1978; he survives. 








She is also survived by four children, Sheila Bradley and husband, Steve, Lisa Harrison and husband, Randy, Cliff Pogue, and Paula Evans and husband, Kurt; two brothers, Charles Norris and David Norris and wife, Mickey; one sister, Sheryl Norris; nine grandchildren, Charles (LaTisha) Bock Jr, Carol Anne (Thom) Robbins, Nichole Bradley, Kaylee Jane Bock, Miranda (Aaron) Heathman, Brent (Linzey) Pogue, Quinn (Kristan) Pogue, Veronica Jane Evans, and Samantha Jeanne Evans; and nine great grandchildren, Chad, Charles, Angel, Edward, Edwina Marie, Henry, Kane, William, and Layvin. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; a bonus father, Charles Phipps; one sister, Edith Snyder; one brother, Larry Collins; and one nephew, Zack Snyder. 

Services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho, MO. Paul Case and Jerrol Burnside will officiate. 

Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery with Charles Bock Jr, Thom Robbins, Brent Pogue, Quinn Pogue, Aaron Heathman, and Tyler Mayhan serving as pallbearers. Steve Bradly, Randy Harrison, and Kurt Evans will be honorary pallbearers. 

A time of visitation will be 5:30 – 7:00 pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Clark Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850 to honor Linda.
