Janice McCammon

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Janice Lee McCammon was born January 18, 1949 in Agana, Guam, one of six children to Robert Ira and Bessie Jeanette (Fong) Partridge. She entered into rest on April 2, 2020 at her home with her beloved family at her side, after a continuous battle with cancer at the age of 71.

Janice served her country in the U.S. Army from 1976 to 1982 and was the recipient of several commendations for excellent work. She then worked as a caregiver for many of her family, as well as others in need. Janice was very frugal; she loved her cats, flowers and plants, country western music, road trips and the Ko'olau Mountains on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. She was exceptionally honest, of high integrity and strong moral standards and was of the Methodist faith.

In 2017, she and her husband, Chester “Mac” McCammon, returned home to the southwest Missouri area from Mississippi. Janice and Mac were married on October 30, 1966 in Kaneohe, Hawaii, and he survives.

Additional survivors include: two children, Marty McCammon and wife, Carole of Dover, New Hampshire and Julie Schwartz and husband, Barry of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; honorary son, Tikayu of Berlin, Maryland; five grandchildren, Ericka, Teik, Andrew, Ethan and Lucy; two brothers, Walter Partridge of Benson, Arizona and Robert Partridge of Kaneohe, Hawaii; and two sisters, Jean Chadwick and Lois Sullivan of Huachuca City, Arizona.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ira Partridge, and father in law, Martin McCammon.

At Janice's request, she will be cremated, and there will be no public services.

Contributions in memory of Janice may be made to the Hawaiian Humane Society, 2700 Waialae Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii 96826.
