William E. (Bill) Wise left this earth early the morning of June 2, 2020. He was the son of Earl James and Mary Ruth (Beaird) Wise. Bill was born in Oklahoma July 3, 1935 and graduated from the University of Tulsa.
After college, he joined the United States Navy. He retired from the Navy, at the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He also retired from Eagle Picher.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Wise, of the home; brother, Dale (Carol) Wise, of Kingston, Oklahoma; daughter, Gayla White (Rick), of Bentonville, Arkansas; sons, William E. (Rhonda) Wise, Jr., of Colcord, Oklahoma, and Robert E. (fiancée Regina) Wise, of Carl Junction, Missouri; step-daughters, Amy (Todd) Williams, of Reeds, Missouri, and Melissa King, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a celebration of Bill’s life on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at the Elk's Lodge, in Joplin, at 3:00 p.m.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
