Doug Lemm

Douglas Harold “Doug” Lemm, 70, a resident of Bella Vista, Arkansas, since 2011, departed this life on Wednesday afternoon, June 3, 2020, at his home in Bella Vista after suffering a heart attack.

Doug was born on December 7, 1949, in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, to the late Walden and Florence (Tubandt) Lemm. He had many great memories from living in Nisland, South Dakota as a young boy before moving to Spearfish, South Dakota in the second grade.

Doug was raised in Spearfish and was a 1968 graduate of Spearfish High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in business with a travel industry management emphasis from Black Hills State College also in Spearfish. He was a manager and regional supervisor for Mini Mart, Inc.; owned and operated a convenience store in McKenna, Washington, as well as "The Good Place", a sporting goods store in Lander, Wyoming; and at the time of his death was employed by Cabela’s / Bass Pro in Rogers, Arkansas, where he had been the Head of the Gun Library. 

 Doug was an avid big-game hunter, trout fisherman, and outdoorsman who especially loved hunting and fishing in Wyoming, South Dakota, Nevada, and Montana. Doug was a member of Bella Vista Lutheran Church. 

Doug is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Brewer) Latty-Lemm; three sons, Josh of Winnemucca, Nevada, Luke of Goodman, Missouri, and Matt of Casper, Wyoming (mother Marla Lemm); four grandchildren, Desarae, Gage, Chance and Blaine Lemm; four great-grandchildren, Carter James (C.J.), Raeleigh, Gracie Jo, and Jensen Durham (J.D.) Lemm; step children Ashley Latty Clark, Molly Latty Cahan, Crystal Snider, and Angela Hockett; two brothers, Dick (Robin) of Story, Wyoming, and David (Evelyn) of Eureka, California; three nieces and two nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends. He often said that his three sons were his heroes.

The family will receive friends for a viewing on Monday June 15, 2020 from 3-5:00 p.m. at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel with Pastor Paul Hass officiating. Following the service a meal will be provided for family and friends at the NewMac building in Anderson.
