Charles Brummett

Charles Nelson Brummett, 82, Diamond, MO entered into rest July 4, 2020 after a lengthy illness. Charles was born August 18, 1937 in Northeastern Newton County to Jessie (Gilbreath) and Ralph Brummett. He was a lifelong resident of the Diamond area and had worked as a machine operator for Rocketdyne/Teledyne/Sabreliner/Premier Turbine for 40 years. 

Charles was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He loved fishing, RV camping, and crafting. He was a member of the Diamond Christian Church and UAW #1070. 

Charles and Wanda (Greninger) Brummett were married October 11, 1957 in Diamond, MO and Wanda survives of the home. 








Charles is also survived by three children, Kathy Griffith of Joplin, MO, Sadonna Green of Galena, KS, and Mylon Brummett of Carl Junction, MO; five grandchildren, Kyla Eaker, Lane Bassham, Taylor Griffith, Blake Hickman, and Jordan Hickman; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.

Services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho, MO, with Mike West officiating. Interment will follow at the Diamond Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held Tuesday, July 7 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Contributions to honor Charles may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
