Charlie Randell Maxwell, 72, of Joplin, Missouri passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 in his home after a 3 month battle with cancer. He was born on April 19, 1948 to Raymond and Emma Maxwell, who preceded him in death.
Charlie served in the U.S. Air Force and is a Vietnam Veteran. He worked for 6 Flags in Georgia and Texas. Charlie also worked as a carpenter before serving as a caretaker for Beechwood Ranch.
Charlie enjoyed spending time with his dogs on the porch, fishing, building, yard work and going for walks around his neighborhood. Charlie made a remarkably positive impact on all of his family, friends and neighbors.
Survivors Include: partner, James Scroggins; 2 sisters, Mary Appleton and Martha Awtrey; 2 brothers, Ronald and John Maxwell; one god daughter, Charlie Buxton.
Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
