Robert Jerry Watson, 84, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 31, 1941, in Neosho, Missouri, son of Arthur Watson and Claris (Klassen) and Frank Fenton. He graduated from Carthage Senior High School in Carthage. He has been a resident of this area his whole life. He worked for Bill’s Electric, then in 1994 he started Watson Electric. He ran Watson Electric for 28 years until 2022.

Jerry married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Watson, on February 28, 1975.

Jerry is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Bangs, (John) of Vancleave, Mississippi and Julie Kellogg (Tracy) of Carthage; three sons, Kenny Watson (Jenny) of Oronogo, Missouri; Kevin Watson (Traci) of Webb City, Missouri and Dustin Kisling of Carthage; and fourteen grandchildren, Cameron Hayes-Watson (Sara), Victoria Sharp, Devin Williamson, Maddie Olivas (Moses), Cody Watson (Ashley), Halie Watson, Jayden Watson, Kassidee Watson, Kaislee Watson, Krue Watson, Robert Watson (Brittany), Austin Watson, Cody Watson, Julya Watson; and 15 great grandchildren. Nephews and niece: David Watson (Melanie), Joe Watson (Anne), Michele Watson (Cassie).

Jerry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Shirley, his parents, his brother, Richard, his nephew, Larry Watson and a granddaughter, McKenzie Kisling.

Robert’s family will be hosting a celebration of life at the Bible Baptist Church at 5:00 PM on Friday, August 29, 2025.
