Daniel Franklin “Frank” Reiter II, age 42 of Joplin, MO passed away on Tuesday January 24, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin. Frank was born on January 9, 1975 in Sedalia, MO the son of Daniel Franklin and Erma Jo (Davis) Reiter.
Frank married Carey Peiffer on May 27, 2006. He is survived by wife Carey and two sons: Daniel Franklin Reiter III (age 9) and Ezra Wendel Reiter (age 4), and three sisters: Rhonda Swanson (Scott) of Chico, CA, Roxanna Linsenbardt (John) of Fenton, MO, and Danna Belsha (George) of Sedalia, MO, and a number of nieces and nephews. Also survived by in-laws: Kim and Diane Peiffer of Davenport, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He loved food, cigars & good beer, and he loved political banter. He loved the Raiders, and especially enjoyed supporting his college team, the Mules. He loved science and nature, and enjoyed inspiring others, starting with his nephews long before he had children of his own. He demonstrated that it was cool to be smart and to be passionate about the things that you love. Nature walks, hiking, geocaching, even Pokemon hunting were some of his favorite activities with his family. Family traditions he was building with his sons included games nights, pizza and movie nights, and training his young sous chefs.
Frank was a staunch advocate of local foods. Local television appearances included cooking demonstrations and promoting the local food scene, especially the Webb City farmer’s market. He was also known for his food blog ‘Frank About Food’.
He was happiest doing for others; very few people go through life generating enduring friendships among so many walks of life as he did. He will be remembered for his zest for life and great sense of humor.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation prior to the service starting at 1:30pm at the funeral home.

Bob Hudson
(From Ozark Funeral Home)
Mr. Robert Talmadge “Bob” Hudson, 61, of Grove, Oklahoma, departed this life suddenly on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, near Jay, Oklahoma, from injuries sustained in a single engine aircraft accident.
Bob began his earthly journey on September 10, 1955, in Duncan, Oklahoma, son of Robert Talmadge Hudson, Sr. and Mildred (Cole) Hudson. He was raised in Duncan, Oklahoma and was a 1974, graduate of Duncan High School. He furthered his educated at Liberty University receiving his Master’s Degree in Theology. On May 28, 1977, he was united in marriage to Pam Smith and to this union three daughters and one son were born. He was a partner at Rose & McCrary P.C. Engineering firm in Grove, Ok. After retiring he transitioned to his second career as Director of Flight Operations for Mexico Medical Missions. He and Pam moved to Mexico where they built a home a worked closely with the mission hospital and school. Bob loved flying and logged hundreds of hours in several different kinds of planes. He loved to watch Andy Griffith and the Green Bay Packers.
We wish there was enough space and time to quote everyone whose lives he touched. The love and hurt for our mom and our family has been overwhelming and humbling. We always knew he was amazing, he is our daddy after all, but to hear from people who knew him for 10 minutes, 10 years, or a lifetime proves what we’ve known all along- our dad deserved that pedestal. He would definitely disagree, but we know better. He never did things for praise or attention. He did things because he had a huge heart for people. People and relationships were his highest priorities. And people sure loved him. They loved him because they could see the sincere, pure love he had for them. He wanted good things for ALL people. If there was a need, he did whatever he could. We were witnesses to this time and time again. We are better wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, son, husband and friend because we belong to Bob Hudson. He was a solid rock and strong inspiration for more people than we’ll ever know. Always calm, always steady, always true. Always there. We love him and miss him; our hearts are broken into millions of pieces that cannot be mended. But because of his faith, guidance and love, we know this ache is only temporary. We WILL see him again. Our dad tells a story that goes something like this: “When I die, the first thing I’m going to see is the face of Jesus. The first thing I’m going to hear is the sound of my dad turning a squeaking old hand crank ice cream maker. The first think I’m going to smell is Pam’s dad’s BBQ ribs cooking on a smoker. And the first thing I’ll hold is my grandson, George.”
We take comfort in knowing he is doing all of those things right now. And while our hearts are broken right now, we know it is just a little while. We will see him again.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Talmadge “R.T.” Hudson, Sr.; and a grandson, George Tanner White.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of nearly forty years, Pam Hudson, of the home; four children, Callie Hudson of Joplin, Missouri, Casey White and husband, Aaron, of Neosho, Missouri, Tal Hudson, III and wife, Tracy, of Shreveport, Louisiana and Georgia Antillon and husband, Oscar, of Joplin, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Braden, Bailey, Gracie, Cooper, Oscar, Amelia and Lane; his mother, Mildred Lane of Grove, Oklahoma; two sisters, Robbie Milford and husband, Greg, of Houston, Texas and Ginger Stewart and husband, Brian, of Pike's Peak, Colorado; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Olive Pyatt
(From Daniel Funeral Home)
Olive Elaine Pyatt, age 94, of Lamar, passed away early Thursday morning, January 26, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Carthage.
Olive was born December 12, 1922, the third of eight children, to Claude W. and Sarah Opal (Palmer) Jones in Knob Noster, Missouri. The family moved to Barton County when she was very young.
Olive graduated from 8th grade at Anderson Rural School, then started working as a housekeeper for families who could afford it during those hard times after the war. She married Garald Elmer Pyatt on March 22, 1942. She was his true helpmate – running fur trap lines, milking cows, driving tractors, assembling new farm equipment, growing and preserving most of their food, raising chickens and hogs and cattle. Although she much preferred to be outside working, she found the time to teach her three daughters how to cook, clean and sew and many other important life skills. She was a very hard worker and she derived much pleasure from her bountiful gardens and beautiful flower beds. People would stop in the street to admire her beautiful flowers. When she “retired” from farming, she volunteered as a “transplant specialist” at the Lamar Greenhouse during the spring months. Olive was also a breast cancer survivor, not once but twice.
Olive was a lifelong member of Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Howard (husband Lee) and Garalene Pyatt, who were her next-door neighbors in Lamar. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Theron McDaniel and family (Dallas, Texas), Danelle Howard (Lamar), Sheree McDaniel Bales and family (Colorado Springs, Colorado), Dr. Galen Howard and family (Flower Mound, Texas), and Danae McDaniel Theleman and family (Olathe, Kansas). She was also blessed with 12 great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Reba Jones Simmons (Irwin, Missouri) and Sarah Jones White (Boerne, Texas), also survive.
Olive was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her oldest daughter, Rose Ann Pyatt McDaniel, her son-in-law Leonard E. McDaniel, and five siblings, Madeline Phipps, Curtis “Jack” Jones, Mary Williams, Alma Reaves and Wanda Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29th at Daniel Funeral Home with Rev. Leland Howard officiating. Burial will be in Iantha Cemetery.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in care of the funeral home.

Dora Buening
(From Clark Funeral Home)
Dora May Buening was born April 18, 1937 into the large family of Luster and Elvie Arehart. The family knew hard times and simple pleasures. They were close friends with the Buening family. From childhood playmates, Dora and Roy grew to fall in love.
On Sept 27, 1954 Roy and Dora married young and started their adventure in life together. They had four girls and one son, Glenda, Melody, who died shortly after birth, Howard, Sandy and Cindy. She spent the next years devoted to raising her kids and volunteering at her kid's school and activities.
In 1975, Dora returned to school and obtained her LPN nursing degree, and worked for many years at Neosho Senior Center.
She devoted her life to being a wife, mother and grandmother. Many occasions were spent around her table with the ever growing family gathered together eating and enjoying each other's company. She was a very active member throughout her lifetime at the Swars Prairie Methodist Church.
She loved the color green, the scent of lavender, giving and receiving gifts, weak coffee and rich desserts, cooking for her family, window shopping, Days of Our Lives, and the occasional (some would say frequent) debate. Her legacy of cooking, bossing, worrying and loving will live on through her children and grandchildren.
On August 16, 2002, after a long battle with cancer, Dora lost Roy, the love of her life, just when they were planning their adventures of retirement together – a piece of Dora left with Roy and she never stopped missing him.
She went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 26, 2017 after a battle with cancer; her family by her side and her children providing round the clock care and keeping watch for her. Dora is survived by her four children, Glenda Hudelson and husband, Bruce; Howard Buening and wife, Terry; Sandy Renfro and husband, Everett and Cindy Block and husband, Jason; nine grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Arehart and two sisters, Darlene Easley and Virginia Buening.
Give Dad/Grandpa a hug for us, Mom/Grandma.
