Scott Smith

Scott Allen Smith, age 58 of Joplin, passed away on Sunday June 16, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family, following a brief illness.

Scott was born January 27, 1961 in Lancaster California. He graduated from Parkwood High School in 1979. He worked twenty-five years for Barney’s Quick Lube & Oil. He loved working on cars. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, NASCAR, and was an avid KC Chiefs fan. He loved animals especially his dog Nikki.

He married the love of his life, Shannon Green, on January 1, 2019 at 12:01 a.m. in Eureka Springs, Ar., and she survives.








Also surviving is his mother Sharon Fuller, Joplin; one brother, Michael Smith and wife Debra, Joplin; two sisters, Cindy Junkins and husband Tommy, Joplin and twin sister, Shelly Ross and husband Doug, Carl Junction, Mo.; one step-son, Tony Martin and wife Brooke, Joplin; one step-daughter, Tylan Gaylord and husband Brody, Vinita, Ok.; four grandchildren, MaHayla, Gavin, Gage, and one on the way; mother and father-in-law, Lorna and Darrell Fell, Baxter Springs, Ks.; sister-in-law, Lindsay Eulitt and husband Jody, Miami, Ok.; and nieces and nephews, Jessica Laurance and husband Shay, Gabe Patterson, Gunnor Eulitt, and Collin Eulitt.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Barney Fuller, on May 26, 2018; and nephews, Nick Ross and Knox Laurance.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Mason-Woodard Chapel Randy Wilson will officiate. Entombment will be in Ozark Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at Mason-Woodard Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to the Joplin Humane Society in care of the mortuary.
