Ginger Ratliff

Ginger Lou Ratliff of Joplin, MO passed from this life Monday, June 3, 2024 at her son’s home in Commerce, OK. She was 81.

Ginger was born May 1, 1943 in Miami, OK to Vernon and Allene (Vanover) Minson. She had lived in Commerce most of her life and graduated from Commerce High School class of 1961. She was the Human Resources Director for 24 years for Integris Baptist Regional Health Care in Miami, OK and had worked at the hospital for a total of 32 years. She was a member of College Heights Christian Church in Joplin, MO.

Ginger married John Charles Ratliff, Sr, June 3, 1962 and he preceded her on February 4, 2010. She later married Dale Ratliff October 9, 2012 and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Jimmy Minson and her nephew Greg Swartz.

Ginger is survived by her son, John C. Ratliff, Jr. and his wife Tonya of Commerce, OK, 3 grandchildren, Jessica Ratliff – Self and her husband Pokey of Commerce, OK, John Charles “Trae” Ratliff, III and his wife Lilly of Louisburg, KS and Matt Ratliff and his wife Misty of Galena, KS, 5 great grandchildren, Walker, Jay and Lachlan Self and Charlie and Harvey Ratliff and her sister, Beverly Swartz of Webb City, MO. Ginger is also survived by Dale’s son, David Ratliff and his wife Denise of Tulsa, OK and their children, Emily and Will Ratliff.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2024 at First Christian Church in Miami, OK. Rev. Howie Moss will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday 4 to 6 p.m. at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK.
