Chad Cook

(From Parker Mortuary)

Ronald Chadwick “Chad” Cook, age 51, passed away at his home on October 21, 2025. He is survived by his parents, Ronald and Diane Cook of Webb City, MO, and his sister Heather (Cook) Shaffer and brother-in-law David Shaffer of Norwalk, CT. He was married to Jenny for eighteen years. He is preceded in death by Grandparents Edward and Vlasta Dalluege, Alfred and Ruth Cook, and Uncle Ronald Dalluege.

Chad was born on March 14, 1974, in Elgin, IL on one of those cold, sunny Chicago suburban day. As a child, Chad loved cars. His love for cars continued throughout the years as he worked on race cars in his teens and then later had a career in the automotive industry.

His career began when he was buying his first Toyota truck. After talking with Chad, and learning of his vast knowledge of cars, the dealership manager asking if he would be interested in working service for that dealership. He of course said yes, and his career began. He worked in the automotive industry for twenty-three years. Throughout the years, he earned his certification as a Master Technician, Toyota’s highest education level of auto services and eventually was promoted to Director of Services for Toyota, Nissan, Dodge and Chrysler. He was one of the lucky ones that loved what he did for a living and never lost that love.

When Chad retired, he and Jenny built their home in Webb City, MO. His second love to cars was cooking. He always experimented with new recipes and different spices. Chad cooked a new dish for his mother and father at least once a week. The Cook family tradition was Thanksgiving dinner at Chad’s house which he adopted as “his” holiday. We will miss that dinner this year as well as all the happy moments our family shared with Chad over the years. A memorial service honoring our son Chad will be held on November 22, 2025.
