Cleo Slinkard

Cleo Wynona Slinkard passed away at McDonald County Living Center on October 30, 2025, at the age of 100 years old.

Cleo was born on July 1, 1925, in Jane, Missouri to Chester Lee and Elma Christine (Henderson) McCool. Cleo grew up attending school in McDonald County. She graduated from White Rock in Jane, Missouri.

She worked as an office nurse for more than 20 years for Dr. Carter at Sale Memorial Hospital in Neosho, Missouri. Above all else, Cleo loved spending time with her family. She adored her family and had a special place in her heart for her fur babies. 

 

Cleo attended Tri City Worship Center in Pineville, Missouri. Cleo married James William (JW) Slinkard on July 18, 1989. They shared a loving marriage until his passing on December 13, 1990.

Cleo is survived by her children Richard Clayton Sink of Goodman, Missouri and Alan Sink of Anderson, Missouri, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers: Leo McCool, Jerry McCool, Orlie McCool, and Lon McCool, and a grandson, Ryan Wade Sink.
