Geneva Morrow

The family of Geneva Mae (Mallory) Morrow, age 86, celebrates her life and the love she shared with everyone who knew her. Geneva was born February 26, 1939 in Wright County, MO, and she passed away November 1st, 2025 at Good Shepard Nursing Home, Lockwood, MO. The daughter of George (Buster) Mallory and Trissie Mallory. Geneva spent a few years of her childhood in Iowa on the farm, then her family moved to Seymour, Missouri where she graduated High School.

In 1962, Geneva married George Morrow, and together they built a life rooted in hard work. They raised three boys in South Greenfield, MO—Jeff, Greg, and Mark—who will forever remember their mother as a tireless provider, a gentle encourager, and a fierce believer in rolling up your sleeves and doing what needs to be done.

Geneva was a woman of faith and a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Greenfield, MO. She made sure her boys were raised in church and knew the love of Jesus.

Geneva worked hard all her life, and she wore that work ethic like a badge of honor. Whether she was caring for her family or working outside the home she gave her very best. She finally agreed to slow down only when her doctor insisted it was time to retire around age 78-proof that she was stronger and more determined than most people half her age.

She will be remembered for her famous cheeseburgers, chocolate chip bars, her green thumb, her love to collect all the pretty things, her sweet demeanor, her kindness, a beautiful smile and the way she loved her friends and family. Her legacy lives on in her family, in the values she instilled, and in the countless lives she touched simply by being herself.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, George & Trissie; twin siblings, Billy Ray Mallory & Eula Fay Mallory; husband, George Morrow; son, Jeff Morrow; and grandson, Henry Morschheimer.

She is survived by two sons, Greg (Shawn) Morrow of Greenfield, MO and Mark (Julie) Morrow of Lamar, MO; grandchildren, Alexis Morschheimer, Abby Gilmartin, Todd Morrow, Kelly Morrow, Kendall Morrow, Quin Morrow, and Trey Morrow; four great-grands and one more on the way; and siblings, Shirley Young of Derby, KS and Richard (Faye) Mallory of Rogersville, MO; and sister-in-law, Pearl Tabone of Lamar, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Greenfield Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pennsboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dade County Senior Center or Main Street Baptist Church of Greenfield. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
