Jerry Irons

(From Parker Mortuary)

Jerry David Irons, 59, passed away on October 29, 2025, in Carl Junction, MO. He was born on October 5, 1966, in Dumas, Arkansas, to the late James and Alma Irons.

Jerry spent his professional life as a skilled welder and mechanic, professions that allowed him to work with his hands, which he loved. Beyond his professional endeavors, Jerry was an avid collector. His collection of rocks and gems was a testament to his love for the earth's natural beauty. Stamps and baseball cards found their way into his heart and home, each item carefully preserved and cherished.

Jerry's collections were more than hobbies; they were reflections of a life lived with curiosity and appreciation for the world's many wonders. An outdoorsman at heart, Jerry found solace in the embrace of nature. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His love for nature was evident to all who knew him, as he was often found walking barefoot, feeling the earth beneath his feet, and taking in the simple pleasures of the natural world.

He is survived by his children, Kathryn Willoughby (Tony) and Kevin Irons; grandchildren, Izabella Irons, Haegen Willoughby, and Hunter Houts; ex-wife, Patricia Edwards Irons; siblings, Janet Sharp, Gloria, Sandra McKnight, Jackie Stratton, and Lewis Irons.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cremation arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO.
