Rebecca Dover

Rebecca Claudene Dover, formerly Dudley, passed away on October 29, 2025, in Webb City, Missouri, at the age of 72. Born on April 20, 1952, in Joplin, Missouri, Rebecca lived a life marked by dedication to her craft, love for her family, and a spirit that brought warmth and laughter to those around her.

Rebecca began her education at Lafayette Elementary School and later attended Memorial High School in Joplin. In 1980, she graduated from Endicott’s School of Hair Design, launching a career that would span two decades and touch countless lives. From 1980 to 2000, she worked at Head West Salon, Hair King Salon, and Designs of Distinction, and also offered haircuts from the comfort of her home—always with a personal touch that made each client feel special.

In addition to her work as a hairstylist, Rebecca briefly worked at Dollar General and later found fulfillment working at a retirement village in Oklahoma City until her retirement. Her compassion and understanding made her especially well-suited for this role, where she brought comfort and care to many.

Rebecca will be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor—qualities that brightened every room she entered. Her deep understanding and compassion left lasting impressions on friends and family alike.

She leaves behind one son, Jay Nelson; five brothers: Billy Fleming of Purcell, Missouri; Jeff Fleming of Webb City, Missouri; David Fleming of Joplin, Missouri; Brian Fleming of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Danny Dudley of Joplin, Missouri; as well as three sisters: Linda Paxton of Joplin, Missouri; Tina Biard of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Patricia Scott of Cabool, Missouri.

Rebecca was preceded in death by Timothy Taylor; Jim Fleming; Tammy Fleming; Charlie Fleming; Josie Fleming; and Bill Fleming.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire kindness and laughter in their lives. A Memorial Gathering will be held on November 8, 2025, from 02:30 PM to 04:00 PM at Webb City Health & Rehabilitation Center 2077 Stadium Drive in Webb City Mo.
