(From Greenfield Funeral Chapel)Velma Bernice McGatha, of Arcola, MO, departed this life on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Willard Care Center in Willard, MO at the age of 88.
She was born on February 9, 1937 in Winona, OK to Glen and Josie (Simmons) Balckwell. She was united in marriage to Edgar Eugene McGatha in January of 1958.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Glen and Josie Blackwell; her husband, Edgar McGatha; one son, Dale McGatha; numerous brothers and sisters; and one great-grandson.
Survivors include one son, Lewis McGatha and wife Kathy; seven grandchildren, Christina and Joe, Kathy, Heather, Chris, Buddy, Cody, and Ashley; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at a later date at Achord Cemetery. Cremation services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
