(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Jodie Marie Whitecrow of North Miami, OK passed from this life Monday, June 8, 2026 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO. She was 64.
Jodie was born June 27, 1061 in Baxter Springs, KS to Jake and Jane (Ponder) Whitecrow. She was a 1979 graduate of Quapaw High School and a 1982 graduate of Okmulgee Tech. She had lived in Las Vegas, NV and Denver, CO for several years before returning to the Miami area 20 years ago. She was a member of the Quapaw Nation and the Seneca-Cayuga Nation. She was Director of Surveillance for Quapaw Casino.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake and Jane Whitecrow.
Jodie is survived by her spouse, Alisa Stand of the home, children, Seth Johnston of Miami, OK, Shelaine Mosher of Joplin, MO, Shelby Blizzard of Miami, OK and Clorissa Stand of Moore, OK, her brothers, Jake Whitecrow and his wife Sharon of Quapaw, OK and Jon Whitecrow and his wife Denise of Quapaw, OK and 11 grandchildren, Keirrah Womack, Mason Garrison, Aubrey Garrison, Nevaeh Garrison, Haven Garrison, Braylon Wilmoth, Jacelynn Blizzard, Oaklynn Beets, Amari Hotchkins, Kaycen Hotchkins and Jakobi Hotchkins.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 11, 2026 at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK with Rev. Geoff Buffalo officiating. Native American rites will be conducted by Joey Giveswater and Vince Gonzalez. Mikal Whitecrow, Brent Whitecrow, Sean Mathews, Thomas Mathews, Seth Johnston and Travis Garrison will serve as pallbearers. Jodie will lie in state at her home in North Miami until 9:30 a.m. Thursday, prior to the graveside services.
