Sandra Lee Flowers Rand, age 54 of Joplin, passed away at 4:45 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, following a long debilitating illness.
Born July 11, 1960 in California, she was the daughter of Jim and the late Shirley Flowers and grew up in Fresno. She worked for the Fresno School District in the cafeteria and later became a press assistant for RX Technologies in Joplin, until retiring.
On June 12, 2012 she married Brian H. Rand in Joplin. He survives.
Additional survivors include her father, Jim Flowers of Fresno; three children, Morgan Bennett and fiancé Mark of Montery, CA, Jennifer Bennett of Fresno, Nicholas Bennett and wife Amanda of Fresno; three stepsons, Brian J. Rand, Casey A. Rand, Brett M. Rand; six grandchildren, Kade, Dagon, and Machara Herring, Sophia and Ava Bennett, and Ryan Jayce Rand.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Brad Herring.
Graveside services will be held 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, March 3rd at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
