Elbert A. “Pete” Randall, 83, Carthage, passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at his home. Elbert Alan Randall was born September 26, 1931 in Columbus, KS; a son of the late Homer E. Randall and Ruth Yonker. Pete married Marjorie “Margie” Dodson on March 10, 1951 in Bentonville, AR; she survives.
He and his wife owned and operated Randall’s Market and The Korner Drive In Restaurant in 1961 in Carthage, MO. After selling the business in the late 70’s, he then went into the Real Estate business for over 20 years.
Survivors include his wife Margie; one son; David Randall, Carthage, MO; one daughter, Connie Randall, Joplin, MO; three sisters, Frances Fox, Miami, OK, Janie Gatenby, Olan, TX, Mary Powers, Miami, OK; two brothers, Herb Randall, Las Vegas, NV, Elmer Randall, Miami, OK; six grandchildren. Cassidi Pereira(husband, George) , Todd Greene (wife, Claudia), Kyle Babbitt (wife, Nancy) D.J. Randall, Maranda Huntley (husband, Ryan), Abi Randall. Seven great grandchildren, Jozlon Randall, Katlyn Huntley, Hailey Pereira, Dylan Huntley, Grady Huntley, Nicholas Pereira, Mariana Greene.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Norma Rohmiller, and one brother; George Randall.
Visitation was held at Knell Mortuary Monday, March, 23, 2015. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
