Randall F. Riggs Sr., 56, Carterville, MO, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin after a lengthy illness. Randall Franklin Riggs, Sr. was born July 4, 1958 in Joplin; a son of the late David A. Riggs, Sr. and Doris (Pierce) Riggs. He married Cynthia Diane Jacks on June 12, 1981 in Webb City, MO; she survives. Randy was a truck driver for JCC Trucking, Joplin till his health failed. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Carterville, MO, a member of the Misfits Car Club and for many years served as the DJ for several local car shows and cruise nights.
Additional survivors include a daughter; Cami Riggs (L B Morris) Carterville; two sons, Scott (Carrie) Fillpot, Webb City and Randall F. (Heather) Riggs, Jr., Joplin, MO; eight grandchildren, Jacee Fillpot, Kaylee Fillpot, Scotty Fillpot, Jr., Daniel Riggs, Dalton Riggs, Brody Riggs, Madie Rector and Skylar Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Karen Dykens, a brother,David A. Riggs, Jr. and a grandson, L B Morris, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 6 at the Carterville First Baptist Church. Minister Denny Carver will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of the Knell Mortuary, Carthage, MO.
