Donna Gaston, age 73 of Joplin, Mo passed away Thursday October 8, 2015 at her home. She was born on June 18, 1942 in Granby, Mo the daughter of Cad and Alleen “Farmer” Newton. Donna married Gary Gaston on October 7, 1970 in Miami, Ok. She worked for the Joplin Senior Center as the Meal Coordinator.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Cloria Jones, and a sister Birdella St. Clair. Survivors include her husband Gary of the home, a son Frank Coburn, two daughters: Lori Reynolds, and Misty Gaston, a brother Brad Newton, two sisters: Frankie Robbins and Carla Anderson; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, aunt Janet Newton, special brother in-law Clarence Gaston, and her best friend Angie Jones. The family would like a special thank you to Diane and Avalon Hospice for all of the care they provided.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday October 12, 2015 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory with Lance Mittag officiating. Burial will follow in the Newtonia Cemetery in Newtonia, Mo. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday at the Mortuary. Arrangements entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
