Nancy M. Moffatt Vermillion Rynders, age 77, Carthage, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Sunday, October 4, 2015.
She was born February 6, 1938 in Joplin to the late Charles Moffatt and Mary Louise Slutter Moffatt and had lived in the Joplin area most of her life.
She worked as a customer service representative for the former Newman's Department Store for many years. She worked at Wal-Mart (store #59) and retired after 25 years of service.
Nancy was a member of the Barnyard Babes Chapter of the Red Hat Society, Diamond; Surviving Spouses of Joplin and the Senior Saints of Christ's Community United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by two husbands, Harold 'LeRoy' Vermillion and Robert Eugene Rynders; a son, Michael Vermillion and a granddaughter, Kaylee Mahurin.
Survivors include three daughters, Cindy King and her husband, Donald, Joplin, Vicky Miller, Joplin, Stephanie Mahurin and her husband, Kevin, Monett; one brother, Charles Moffatt, Arizona; one sister, Bonnie Richey, Miami, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Christopher King, Angela Bennett, Damon Mahurin, Grady Mahurin, Kaleb Mahurin; and great grandchildren, Wesley Roughton, Zackary Roughton, Kendal King, Dymond King and Levi King.
Services are planned for Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Greg Snow will officiate. Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-6:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
