Mr. Paul E. Oberzan, 55, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at his residence, after a long illness.
Paul was born January 5, 1960, in Oswego, Kansas, born to James and Ruby Louise (Donaldson) Oberzan. He was a former resident of Commerce, Oklahoma and graduated from Commerce High School in 1978. He attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma. Paul was employed as a service manager for Newell Coach in Miami, Oklahoma prior to his retirement. He was a gifted painter and a talented artist.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother.
He is survived by his father, James Oberzan, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, his daughter, Aimee Oberzan, of Joplin, Missouri and her mother, LaChrista Earle, of Miami, Oklahoma, a brother, Michael Oberzan, of Joplin, Missouri, a sister, Kathy Hutson and husband, Mike, of Derby, Kansas, and two nephews; Troy and Cody Hutson, of Derby, Kansas.
A memorial mass for Mr. Oberzan will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 225 B Street NW, Miami, Oklahoma 74354 with Reverend Mary Koppel officiating.
