Vestaleen M. Lauffenburger, 95, Joplin, MO passed away Wednesday evening December 30, 2015 at her home after a lengthy illness. Vestaleen May Bledsoe was born May 4, 1920 in Cedar County, MO to Charles Bledsoe and Lucille (Hanslow) Bledsoe. She married Clifford C. Lauffenburger on June 16, 1945 in Columbus, KS. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include one son; Kenneth (wife Linda) Russow, Joplin, MO; two daughters; Carolyn (husband Richard) Knight, Joplin, MO, Linda Payne, Wichita, KS; one sister; Georgia Straine, Rio Linda, CA; eight grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son, Robert Swanson, one sister, Julia Coy, and one brother, Charles Bledsoe.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 10:00 AM in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carthage, MO. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary.
