Daniel ‘Dan’ Lee Sartin, 70, Granby, died February 26, 2016 at his home, following a long illness.
He was born December 26, 1945 in Neosho, Missouri, the son of Ernest and Otheda (Craven) Sartin. Dan was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Neosho High School in 1964. He served in the U.S. Air Force and the National Guard and worked in the maintenance department at Crowder College for over 25 years. He built his own home and enjoyed wood carving, painting, being at the lake and looked forward to fishing. He was a ‘jack of all trades’ and attended Pioneer Baptist Church.
Dan married Lynn Reynolds on February 22, 1969 in Newtonia, and she survives. Also surviving are three children, Fawn Sartin of Newtonia, Derek Sartin and wife, Jaime of Stark City and Tara Sartin of Monett; five grandchildren, Trinity Williams, Kaden Endicott, Dasan Sartin, Justice Sartin and Dalton Sartin and one sister, Lynda Jo Holverson of Neosho. Dan is preceded in death by his parents.
