Idell J. Swingle, age 90, of Joplin, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 26, 2016 following a decline in health.
She was born February 8, 1926 in Carthage, Missouri to Loren and Helena (Evans) Jackson.
Idell was a lifetime area resident. She worked as an administrative professional for the Missouri Crippled Children’s Service. She was a member of Freeman Advantage, Mercy Prestige and Fellowship Baptist Church. She and her husband were instrumental in establishing Christ’s Church of Perseverance.
She married Raymond “Gene” Swingle on August 4, 1941 in Columbus, Kansas and he preceded her in death in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Idell is survived by one son, Larry Swingle, and wife, Sandra, Aubrey, Texas; one daughter, Susan Jackson, and husband, Keith, Joplin, Missouri; four grandchildren, Kim House and husband, Greg, Erik Hare, Wesley Hare and wife, Jodie and Sharon Kelly and husband, Tim, and six great-grandchildren.
