Regina Louise Mathis, 50 years, of Pineville, Missouri was called to heaven on Saturday, April 25, 2016 at her home in Pineville, Missouri.
She was born on July 20, 1965 in Neosho, Missouri to Arthur and Jean (Chrisman) Mathis. Regina attended the State School in Anderson, Missouri where she graduated from the 12th grade. She attended the CP Center and Sheltered Workshop in Neosho, Missouri, where her and her brother were some of the first to attend. Regina was the twin sibling of Arthur Joe Mathis who constructed special mechanisms and toys for his sister in order to improve the quality her life. She enjoyed watching toy hanging chimes; watching the squirrels, chickens and other small animals outside her window; listening to music and having people talk to her when she was in town. She was lovingly cared for by her mother, Jean Mathis all of her life. Regina was a good child and would seldom cry. For her 50th birthday she was presented a Missouri State Senate Resolution.
Regina is survived by her loving and caring mother, Jean Mathis of the home; a brother, Arthur Joseph Mathis (Crystal) of Pineville, Missouri; cousin, Sandra Kaye Stelle; nieces and nephews, Sean Mathis Christopher James Mathis, Zachary Joe Mathis, Alexis Jo Mathis, Joseph Randall Mathis, Cheyanne Mathis, Shaden Mathis and Kelsey Mathis; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss Regina.
