Karen Burr

Karen Lea Sitler Burr, 62, Neosho, entered into rest on Nov. 10, 2019 at Medicalodge in Neosho, following a fifteen month illness.

Karen was born Aug. 23, 1957 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of John and Joan (Fry) Sitler. She moved to the Neosho area in 1968 from Houston and lived most of her life in this area. 

She worked as a bus aide for the Neosho Public School District and previously worked at the Hunte Corporation. She loved animals, especially puppies, enjoyed gardening and painting. 

Karen is survived by two sons, Jamie Franklin and Andy Franklin; three sisters, Sheri Cobb, Angie Spearman and Teresa Evans and four grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents. 

Upon Karen’s request, the body will be taken for cremation and no services will be held. Contributions in memory of Karen may be made to the Newton County Cancer Council, c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66; Neosho, MO 64850.
