James A. Carr, of Lamar, MO, departed this life on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, in the Truman Healthcare and Rehab Facility at the age of 84.
He was born September 18, 1935 in Alicia, Arkansas to Bennie Alden Carr and Emmer Sarah Dunn. James worked for a combined 30 years at Springfield and Lamar Schools.
He was married to Mary Weeks Carr for 51 years. James loved the outdoors and spent many years making a big garden, hunting and walking his land. James was saved and baptized.
He is survived by his wife Mary and son John R. Carr of Lamar and many nieces and nephews. He was preceeded in death by his parents, brothers W.M Carr and Bennie Carr, sisters Dora Carr and Novella Carr Tanner.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2020, in Greenfield Cemetery in Jerico Springs. Online condolences may be shared at www.greenfieldfuneralchapel.com. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
