Jim Windle

James R. 'Jim' Windle, Joplin, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020 after a sudden illness.

Jim was born January 1, 1938 in Joplin to the late Kenneth Wade Windle and Elizabeth James Warren.

Jim worked in the heat and air industry for 30 years while he lived in California. He owned and operated Winaire, Inc. from 1988-2006. Jim was a member of the Elk's Lodge #501; Fellowship Lodge #345, AF & AM; Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Joplin; Joplin Shrine Club; Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Temple, Springfield; Twin Hills Golf and Country Club; and South Gate Gun Club, where he served as past president of the Trap Shooters group.

Jim loved boating and spending time at the lake. He enjoyed fishing and golfing whenever he had the chance. Jim loved his family and will be missed by everyone that knew him.

He married Nancy Reynolds on August 20, 1988 in La Palma, California. She survives at the home.







Additional survivors include his children, Brett Windle, Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Caren Pierson and husband, Charles, Wichita, Kansas, Meredith Yenzer, Joplin; one brother, Rocky Windle, Joplin; grandchildren, Jared Yenzer and wife, Hailey, Keira Yenzer, Cael Yenzer, Anya Pierson, Adam Pierson; and many extended family members including, Carolyn and Don Smith and children, Kenny, Tammy and Preston. Debby Pearson, Kim Drake, Brianna Windle, Leanna Windle, Braiden Windle, Madison Drake, Danielle Drake and Abby Metzinger and husband, Wade.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a son, Steven Windle; a brother, Kenneth Windle; a sister, Sandra Holland; and a nephew, Brad Windle.

A memorial visitation is planned for Saturday from 1-3:00 p.m. at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary Chapel. A private interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
