Karen Lionberger

Judith Karen Skerbetz-Lionberger age 75 of Carl Junction, Missouri passed away Sunday March 8, 2020 following a short illness.

She was born December 12, 1944 in Welch, Oklahoma to George and Chola (Dart) Stockwell.
Karen was an owner of a beauty salon. She attended the Webb City Church of the Nazarene where she was very involved and served as President of the Women’s Mission for over 20 years. She volunteered at the Carl Junction Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, three sisters, Ruth Ann Pierce, Helen Marie Walker, Georgia Blundell, one half-brother, Ralph Stockwell, and one half-sister, Mildred Miller.
Karen married John Lionberger on May 20, 2017 and he survives. 








She is also survived by one son Larry Simpson, one brother, Charles Stockwell, and three grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews as well as extended family and numerous friends.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday March 13, 2020 at the Webb City Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Nathan Haeck officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am prior to the service.
Contributions in Karen’s memory are requested to the Webb City Church of the Nazarene Missions Program.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory Joplin, Missouri.
