LuEtta Marti Braker passed away May 11th, 2020, at Carrington Place in Pittsburg, Kansas, at the age of 92. She was born to Lou and Martha (Sommers) Marti on October 5th, 1927 near Bern, Kansas. After graduating from Bern High School in 1945 she worked in Sabetha, Kansas until her marriage to Raymond Braker on June 1, 1952. They made their home and farmed in Barton and Jasper counties for more than 60 years.
LuEtta enjoyed many things about homemaking including cooking, gardening and quilting. Time spent caring for her children and grandchildren brought great joy to her, but most of all she treasured her faith in God. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Faith Church.
In April 2014, Raymond and LuEtta moved to Carrington Place in Pittsburg, KS. Raymond passed away in October of 2016. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Corrine; two brothers, Merle and Harry and two sons, Dan and Paul Braker.
Survivors include two sons; Roy (Judy) Braker, Jasper, MO and Jerry (Carol) Braker, Liberal, MO; two daughters, Elaine (Terry) Knoblock, Larchwood, Iowa and Martha (Curt) Kellenberger, Lamar, MO; one daughter-in-law, Janice (Bob) Stoller, Liberal, MO; two sister-in-laws, Bonnie Braker, Lamar and Alice (Charles) Marti, Liberal; 27 grandchildren and 73 great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be held.
Friends may call from 1-6 p.m. on Thursday, May 14th at Daniel Funeral Home.
