Margaret White

Margaret Lorene White, a resident of Spring River Christian Village, passed away the evening of July 1, 2020.

She was born November 11, 1929, to Churchwell and Bertha (Hoover) Donelson in Douthat, Oklahoma, near Commerce. She lost her mother in a tornado at a young age and was raised by her grandmother and aunt.

Margaret married Ralph L. White, October 1, 1955, in Miami, Oklahoma. Ralph passed away in 1996 after 41 years of marriage. They spent many happy years in Phoenix, Arizona, until their return to Joplin in 1989. 

In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret was proceeded in death by brothers, Eugene, Tom and Jimmie Donelson.

She was a retiree of J.C. Penney. Margaret enjoyed watching The Young and the Restless and NCIS and loved shopping. She was a well known fixture at Northpark Mall especially Macy's and Penny's. Margaret was a member of Central Methodist Church in Webb City, Missouri. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Margaret will be under the care of Parker Mortuary where she will be cremated and buried alongside her husband at Mt. Hope Cemetery. There will be a private service at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Integrity Homecare & Hospice.
