Virginia Honey

Virginia Rose Honey, 86, passed away July 8, 2020 at St. Luke’s Nursing Home in Carthage, MO. Virginia was born January 24, 1934 in Avilla, MO to Elmer and Mary Rose LeMasters. She was a lifetime Jasper County resident and owned and operated a family farm with her husband, Earl G. Honey. She served as a Jasper County Election Judge and was a member of The Sheep Shed in Joplin.

Virginia was united in marriage to Earl G. Honey; he preceded her in death in 1977. 








Virginia is survived by two sons, Earl Honey of Stark City, MO and Bob Honey of Oronogo, MO; three grandchildren, Eric Honey, David Honey and Taylor Honey; one brother, Lloyd LeMasters and wife Angela of Oronogo, MO.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband and her parents; one son, Jerry Wayne Honey; one sister Dorothy Frost; and one brother, Roger LeMasters.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Weaver Cemetery in Oronogo. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2020 at Ulmer Funeral Home.

Contributions may be made to the Sheep Shed or Weaver Cemetery in Care of Ulmer Funeral Home.
