Mary L. Cox, 74, of Baxter Springs, KS passed from this life on Saturday, August 1, 2020 in Joplin, MO.

Mary was born February 20, 1946 in Galena, KS to the union of Everett and Imogene (Duncan) Jimerson. 

Mary was united in marriage to Garry “Steve” Cox on February 20, 1965 in Galena, KS. Mary worked as activities director for three area nursing homes for about ten years before retiring and being a homemaker loving and caring for her family and friends. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and doing yardwork. 

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Imogene Jimerson; husband, Garry “Steve” Cox; brother, Alford Jimerson.

Mary is survived by son, Bradley Cox and wife Laura of Baxter Springs, KS; daughter, Misty Griffith of Joplin, MO; five sisters, Addie Wald, Judy Lapanne, Lula Koethe, Linda Watkins, and Sherry Shaw; one brother, Everett Jimerson; four grandchildren, Victoria Vestal and husband Lucas, Bradley K. Cox, Hunter Cox, Kebra Griffith; five great grandchildren, Madelynn, Mya, Malaya, CJ, and Brandon.
