Allen Cully

Allen D. Cully, 68, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 18, 2024 at Mercy Hospital St. Louis in Creve Coeur, MO. Born October 27, 1955 in St. Louis, MO, he was the son of Benjamin Edward and Lorraine Mary Cox Cully. 

Allen was united in marriage on June 21, 1980 in St. Peters, MO to Patricia Ann Johnson. Their home was blessed with three children: Craig, Allen and Casey. 






For 39 years, Allen worked for the St. Charles County Highway Department until his retirement in 2016. He was a skilled auto mechanic which led to one of the biggest hobbies of drag racing for many years. 

Allen had a lifelong passion for making music, most recently with Dealer’s Choice, The Missouri Valley Boys, jam sessions and other projects. According to his custom business card, he was a bass and rhythm guitar owner, “offered” classic and race car repair/ fabrication and welding/ BC Racing and other ways to waste money/ teller of tales/ singer of songs/ shooter of bulls/ husband of wife/ father of children/ will work if bored….maybe.” 








Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Lorraine Cully. Survivors include his beloved wife, Patricia Cully of Winfield; three children: Craig Wendt of Paynesville, MO, Allen Cully of Neosho, MO and Casey (Bruce) Zimmerman of Cape Girardeau, MO; and; five grandsons: Kyle (Amanda), Damon, Allen, Jacob and Brian; and two great-grandsons: Malachi and Liam. Allen also leaves three sisters: Jennifer (Michael) Townsend of O’Fallon, MO, Rebecca (Roger) Huette of Mountain Home, AR, and Theresa (Patrick) Boschert of O’Fallon; Aunt Dorothy Cox of New Jersey; four step-grandchildren: Eric, Tony, Brandi and Victoria; 11 step-great-grandchildren; 6 step-great, great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Asbury Chapel in Foley, MO. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice in care of Carter-Ricks Funeral Home, 3838 East Highway 47, P.O.
