(From Ozark Funeral Home)Raymond Eugene “Gene” Garvin, aged seventy-one, departed this life on Friday, November 1st, 2024, with his daughter, Kelly and sister, Bev by his side.
Gene entered this life on March 17th, 1953, in Southwest City, Missouri, the eldest son of Brian Eugene and Frankie Roberta (Hood) Garvin.
Gene was raised in Southwest City, MO, lived several places in Southwest Missouri and spent his later years in Northeast Oklahoma.
Through the years, Gene worked as a commercial truck driver and an appliance repairman. Gene had a remarkable work ethic and enjoyed fishing and playing softball. He loved all people and enjoyed their company.
He was preceded in death by his father, Brian Eugene Garvin, and brother, Jerry Garvin.

Gene is survived by his mother, Frankie Garvin of Southwest City Missouri, his sons; Keith Garvin and wife, Staci of Anderson, Missouri; Kevin Garvin and wife, Tonya of Noel, Missouri; and Aaron Garvin of Noel, Missouri; a daughter, Kelly Frisby and husband, Austin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; thirteen grandchildren, Kylie Hackworth, Colton Garvin, Tyler Ehlers, Hollie Barnard, Isaiah Garvin, Caleb Garvin, Reagan Garvin, Joeli Garvin, Daniel Garvin, Ariella Garvin, Beau Garvin and Luke Garvin; six great-grandchildren, Maci Ehlers, Brilee Ehlers, Remington Garvin, Walker Garvin, Shaylynn Garvin, Paizlee Garvin and one more blessing on the way. Additionally, Gene is survived by one sister Beverly Weeks and husband David of Southwest City, Missouri, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service for Raymond Eugene Garvin will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Ozark Funeral Home in Southwest City, Missouri. The family will receive friends on Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
