(From Parker Mortuary)Stuart Clayton Hall, 62 of Carl Junction, passed away unexpectedly at his home on January 8, 2025. It appears that Stuart passed away peacefully, dreaming of only God knows what. We suspect it included such delights as his Chevelle pumping out Def Leppard tunes, cold beer, a basket full of baby dachshunds, and a bushel of herbal remedies.
Stuart was one of 4 children born to the late Bob and Gracie (Wheeler) Hall. He made his appearance on November 26th,1962 in the great metropolis of Lamar, MO. Rumor has it that he did not cry during delivery but entered this world laughing and smiling. That same laughter and happy disposition continued for the next 62 years. His three siblings, Curtis Hall, Janet Hughes and Craig Hall preceded him in death. We think Stuart intended to outlive us all like an immortal Highlander.
For several decades, Stuart dedicated himself to his craft, specializing in garage door installation. Stuart was known to make house calls after hours for friends and family repairing faulty doors. He was also known to work on fully functional doors during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other family events. We just let him do his thing. After retiring from the trade, Stuart embarked on new adventures working on John Tullis’ farm. He wore many hats doing many farm things which was enhanced by other skills he picked up from Walker Texas Ranger reruns. He was a hard worker, although accident prone…well, “safety challenged.”
Stuart’s interests were a reflection of his love for the outdoors and by that, we mean mowing. He found solace in climbing on a mower, wind in his hair, cold beer in his hand, and working on his tan. Stuart was also known to occasionally hunt deer or cast a rod with his best friend, Jimmy, but did we mention the mowing?
On July 14, 1997, Stuart married the love of his life, Terri (McDaniel) Hall. Stuart lovingly referred to her as ‘Terrance’ much to her chagrin and her repeated requests for a less masculine term of endearment. He embraced his role as a stepfather to Stacy Wagner and Michael Wagner and Grandpa to Nathan Wagner and Zoey Caldwell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Well United Methodist Church. The family invites friends for a time of visitation before the service at 1:00 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, MO.

R.I.P. Stuart. You've always been a really great guy.
