Gary Russow

Gary Ray Russow, passed away on February 6, 2025, in his hometown of Joplin, Missouri, at the age of 66. He was born on April 26, 1958, to the late Billy and Almeda (Cavener) Russow.

A proud veteran, Gary served his country in the US Navy before returning to his roots in Joplin. He channeled his strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit into his business, becoming the respected owner and operator of Ray Ann's Furniture store.






He was a skilled dart thrower. Gary had a love for hunting and fishing that provided countless memories and stories that he cherished and shared with all who knew him.

He is survived by his brothers, Billy Russow (Sandy) and Karl Russow (Glenda); several nieces and nephews; and his best friend and business partner, Nancy Bowman.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Carol Rowe.








The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of National Heath Care and Good Shepherd Hospice for the amazing care they gave to Gary.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO. A burial will follow at Carl Junction Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Dwayne Boone, Jesse Russow, B.J. Russow, Garrett Talamantez, Jimmy Weber, Rick Terry and Paul Marbit. The family invites friends out for a time of visitation at the mortuary, prior to the service at 10:00 a.m.




Arrangements are under the direct care of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, MO.
