Kenneth Davis

Kenneth Bryan Davis, 63, passed away peacefully, while holding hands with his daughter, Katelyn, on February 7, 2025, in Joplin, Mo. He was born on April 24, 1961, to the late Charles and Edwina (Smith) Davis.

Kenneth's journey through life was one of commitment and achievement. He was a proud alumnus of Missouri Southern State University and furthered his education in banking at Louisiana State University. His professional life was a testament to his hard work and leadership, culminating in his role as the respected CEO of Peoples Bank.








A man of many interests, Kenneth found great pleasure in collecting baseball cards and sports memorabilia. His passion for sports was not just in collecting but also in playing; he spent his younger days on the baseball diamond or enjoying a round of golf. Kenneth's love for sports was also evident in his unwavering support for the Kansas City Chiefs.

He is survived by his cherished daughter, Katelyn Buerge (Baylyn); and his adored grandchildren, Stevie Buerge and Knox Davis Buerge; his sister, Holly Woodward (Keith); his niece and nephews, Haylie Culp, Chad Haddock, and Nathan Haddock, along with numerous cousins, great nieces, and great nephews who were all touched by his generous spirit. Kenneth's faithful dog, Bella, was a constant companion and source of joy in his life.







Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Jan Haddock.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary in Joplin, MO. In honor of Kenneth, please feel free to wear red or Chiefs gear.
