(From Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home)Dorla Adele Jett, 92 of Ash Grove, passed away April 14, 2025. She was born December 10, 1932, in a small community near Everton, Missouri to Ben and Reatha (Kimbler) Lahy. On October 24, 1959, Dorla and Howard Jett were united in marriage and shared over 58 years together, before Howard’s passing in 2018.
Dorla was a lifelong area resident and lovingly raised her family in Ash Grove. She later became a nurse’s aide working at the nursing home. Dorla was creative, she enjoyed painting, quilting, and getting lost in the pages of a good book. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family.
Dorla is survived by her sons, Ron Jett, Don Jett (Cristina) and John Henry (Betti); daughters, Diane Rogers, Patty Hendricks, Valerie Pantenburg (Rick), and Deloris Smith; 18 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; other family and many friends.
Dorla is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Leon Henry; second husband, Howard Dale Jett; granddaughter, Sonya Brewer; parents, Ben and Reatha Lahy; paternal grandparents, Joe and Mary Ann Neldon Lahy; maternal grandparents, John and Emma Kimbler; sisters, Alma, Charlene, and Mildred; and brothers, Ralph and Lonnie.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Wilson-Griffin Funeral Home, Ash Grove, MO. Graveside services will be Friday, April 18, 2025, at 10:00AM at Sinking Creek Cemetery, Everton, MO.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Sinking Creek Cemetery and may be left at the funeral home.
