Allen McReynolds

Allen McReynolds, IV, age 76, Joplin, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025 at Freeman West of Joplin.

Allen was born March 25, 1949 in Carthage, MO, son of the late Allen McReynolds, Jr. and Madeliene (Hensley) McReynolds.

A 1967 graduate of Carthage High School, Allen earned his bachelor’s degree in Business at MSSU in Joplin. Allen and his father owned and operated the Joplin Stockyards until 1989. He then retired and enjoyed raising cattle and collecting old cars. He was a member of GOBMC in Carthage and Jaguar Club of Tulsa.

Allen was a member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church of Joplin.

Allen is survived by his wife of 43 years, Nancy Hires McReynolds; his son, Allen McReynolds,V and wife Kristen; daughters, Lindsay McReynolds and Abigail McReynolds (Jason): and grandchildren, Clayton and Chase McReynolds; Emma, Addy, and Megyn Boyd; sisters, Mary McReynolds and Beth Colman.

His sister, Sharron Sheets preceded him in death.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, MO.
