Diane Dickey

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Diane Colette Dickey passed away at her home in Neosho, Missouri, on May 16, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on January 28, 1957, in Neosho, Missouri, to Francis Nolon and Nellie "Pat" Lucille (Ramage) Sturm. On March 3, 1973, Diane married Roy Dean Dickey at Silver Moon Church in Neosho, Missouri. They shared a loving marriage until Roy’s passing on June 11, 2017.

Diane worked in Quality Control at Tyson and Twin Rivers until their closures. Afterward, she devoted her time to what she loved most—being at home with her family. She was an adoring grandmother whose home was always full of warmth, love, and good food. Known for her fried chicken and homemade noodles, Diane taught her children and grandchildren how to cook with the same love she poured into everything she did. Her children described her as a "lover and a feeder."

A member of the Neosho Church of the Nazarene, Diane was a woman of deep faith. She enjoyed photography, often capturing family moments from behind the camera. Her favorite color was yellow, and she especially loved sunflowers and yellow roses. She had a green thumb and delighted in planting flowers, often joined by her grandchildren. Diane was also a lifelong caregiver to her beloved son Richard, whom she cared for with extraordinary devotion.

Diane is survived by her children: Richard Brian Dickey of Neosho, Missouri; Steven Ray (Tammy) Dickey of Neosho, Missouri; and Bobby Dean (Amanda) Dickey of Neosho, Missouri. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Michael Plybon, Skylar Hamman, Lauren Dickey, Kristin Pierce, Haley Ebbinghaus, Dakota Dickey, Mackenzie Dickey, Abbigail Dickey, and Katie Dickey; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Additional survivors include her brother Jerry (Marsha) Sturm of Neosho, Missouri; her cousin Vicki Dickey of Granby, Missouri; her niece Patty Benson of Joplin, Missouri; and her loyal and fierce canine companion, Remington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; and her siblings: Clarence Nolon “Squeeky” Sturm, Sandra Lucille Sturm Brown, Karen Sue “Susie” Sturm, Glen Leon Sturm, and Margaret Lynn “Peggy” Sturm.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho, Missouri. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Neosho Church of the Nazarene.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Diane may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 66, Neosho, Missouri 64850.
