Jo Harper

Jo Ann Costley Harper departed this life on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation peacefully in her sleep, at the age of 75 years.

She was born on April 24, 1950 to Eugene and Mary Ruth (Simpson) Costley in Fayette, MO. She attended Lamar schools graduating in 1968. She furthered her education and became a respiratory therapist, working at different hospitals. Jo accepted Jesus as her Savior and Lord at a young age. Most mornings the last couple of years, she sent a Bible verse to all of her family.

She was a member of the Oakton Methodist Church.

Jo was united in marriage to Gary Conrad Harper on July 25, 1975 in Iantha, MO. Together they raised their children, Christian Ann Perkins and Gary Leroy Harper. She is survived by her children Christina (Steve) Perkins and Gary (Amy) Harper. Grandchildren, Ariel (Michael) Lee, Cheyenne (James) Bowen, Adrianna Horton, Hailey (Paul) Fristch, Emma LaDue, Aliya Horton, Emma Harper, Aileen Horton, Gary Eli Harper, Calder LaDue, Carissa Perkins, Christina Perkins, Anatasia Horton and 7 great grandchildren. Sisters, Sharon (David) Crockett, Connie Overstreet, Donna (Larry) Fanning and Peggy (Larry) Nottingham.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Conrad Harper, her parents, Gene and Mary.








If you would like to make a memorial contribution in lieu of flowers, the family suggest Oakton Church in care of the funeral home.

A visitation will be held from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Monday May 26, 2025 at Konantz Warden Funeral Home. A memorial service on Tuesday May 27, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Oakton Church. Additional details and an obituary will be posted once available.
