Elizabeth (Liz) Ann Shankles Thrift
January 24th, 1961 - June 12th, 2025

Elizabeth was born at Carswell Air Force Base in Ft. Worth, TX. to Bobby Lee Shankles & Janie Helen Holloway Shankles. She was preceded in death by her Mom, Dad, brother Bobby & nephew Bryan.

Elizabeth was a full time Mom, Nana & Aunt. She loved her family so much & she had a special way to make everyone feel loved & wanted. And she loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys on Sundays.

Elizabeth went home to be with Jesus on June 12th, 2025 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo.

 
She is survived by her life partner Darrell Dardenne of Joplin, Mo and her children Krissy (Daren) Fuller of Carl Junction, Mo., Lucas (Christine) Buck of Kentucky, Tony Dardenne of Joplin, Mo., Mason (Julie) Dardenne of Joplin, Mo. & Darrell (Katelyn) Dardenne of Miami, Ok.

Elizabeth is also survived by her siblings
Sharon (Jodie) Jackson of Garland, TX., Ray (Brenda) Shankles of Carthage, Mo., Laura (Randy) Shankles of Euless, Tx., Janet Stonis of Louisville, Ky. & James Shankles of Louisville, Ky.

She loved all of her Grandkids, Nieces, Nephews & all of her cousins in Canada.
