Robert Herring

Robert Lewis Herring, 66 of Seneca, Missouri, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025 at his residence.

Robert was born on April 22, 1959 in Seneca, Missouri to the late, Lewis and Margie (Whitehill) Herring. He was a long-time member of the Hart Community Church in Seneca, Missouri. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, flea markets and tinkering on different projects. He really loved going to the MO-KAN Dragway in Asbury, Missouri. The only thing he enjoyed more than all other hobbies was spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them how to misbehave.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rebekah Herring, brothers, David and William “Bill” Herring; sister, Linda Bridges and a great granddaughter, Nova Welch.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Breckenridge (Lance) of Rich Hill, Missouri, Heather Welch (Josh) of Seneca, Missouri; sisters, Judy Mersman, Jane Ball, Susan McKee and Donna Smith; grandchildren, Trinton Welch (Neveah), Dakota Bacon, Addison Welch, Landon Bacon, Levi Bacon and Gabby Welch; great grandchildren, Grace Welch and Abram Welch; bonus grandchildren, Ashton Cooper, Jase Cooper, Jesse Gallahue, Brayden Johnson and Kya Adkins; as well as a host of other family and friends who will dearly miss Robert.

Funeral services for Robert will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to service time at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service.
